Sex Talk: Consent is not optional...

I just came across this awesome post about consent explained in an amazing way.  With more focus being put on victim shaming and what men should be doing to prevent sexual assault, I think this sums up consent pretty nicely.

There are a lot of women out there who have experienced sexual assault or sexual pressure of some sort.  Just remember, consent is not optional.  I don't care if you say no before or during, it is the other person's job to respect your boundaries (and vice versa).  If they don't respect your boundaries, they are in the wrong, regardless of what they might tell you.  Unless your boundary is to never eat cake.  In which case, they are correct, you should eat cake.
