There have been a rash of articles recently about the trend of coloring for adults. It's not really a trend, some of us have been doing it as a form of mindless meditation for our entire lives, unbeknownst to our conscious mind. If you've ever absentmindedly doodled in a notebook during a meeting or during a conversation, you know what I mean.

There are several series of coloring books geared towards adults, my favorites so far being this series by Theo Nicole Lorenz (with such titles as "Unicorns are Jerks") and this series by Johanna Basford which has a more serious, yet whimsical feel. Any of the books in these series will make you feel slightly more "grown-up" when taking part in this traditionally child-centric activity.
If you're into doing it but want a more sophisticated vibe, skip the normal crayons and go for either colored pencils or fine-tip markers, such as this Pro-Art set of 100 or this EK Success Writer Scrapbooking set. There's definitely a price difference but quality does help keep the markers in good condition if you're going to be doing this on-going.

I hope you'll give this a try - the world could use a few less stressed out ladies!
XOXO, Katz
